Phase Two Standards

The designation as A Place of Hospitality would be meaningless unless it was backed up by standards of performance that were measurable ... and monitored. So here is a brief description of the standards for the highest three levels of certification:


Four-Star Certification
Meets all Three-Star standards plus ...

Hospitality Foundation Program
This program is optional, but it will open your eyes to some incredible possibilities.

Mentoring
Actively work with Two-Star members to help them earn their third star.

Service Drama Teams
This is another level of peer evaluation. Teams visit other APOH operations, stage incidents and evaluate how well they are handled.

Guest Feedback
4.7 (out of 5) on the APOH online guest feedback surveys for twelve consecutive weeks PLUS 90% on the Peer Observations.


Five-Star Certification
Meets all Four-Star standards plus ...

Mentoring
Actively work with Three-Star members to help them earn their fourth star.

Contribution
Post online videos of best practices and ideas that work for the benefit of other APOH members.

Guest Feedback
4.8 on the APOH online guest feedback surveys for twelve consecutive weeks PLUS 95% on the Peer Observations.


Six-Star Certification
Meets all Five- Star standards plus ...

Mentoring
Actively work with Five- and Six-Star members to help them earn their next level of certification.

Recruiting
Principals hold local introductory workshops and share the APOH program with non-member operators.

Six-Star Advisory Council
This group helps set the future direction and content of the APOH Program.
